Welcome! My name is Amy Rhea, and I’m the proprietor of Insomniac Apothecary Curiosity Shoppe. This site represents the realization of one of my longstanding dreams: to be the ‘village witch’ to a community that stretches beyond my current home base of Central Arkansas. It is my hope to build a community of clients and friends who make the world a better place both in the spiritual sense and in the mundane sense through deliberate, intentional living and spiritual development. This shop is my attempt to support that vision.
A little bit about me: I was raised Episcopalian and converted to Wicca at the age of 17. More than 25 years later, I’m still practicing the Craft. I’m a third-degree high priestess in the Naofa Tintean line (Columbia, MO) in the tradition of the First Temple of the Craft of W.I.C.A. (Berwyn, IL). I teach students, present workshops, and serve the community as clergy. My interests include devotional practice and monastic discipline, clergy training and education, historical and folkloric witchcraft, and the Inclusive Wicca movement. Outside of these pursuits, I enjoy writing fanfiction, doing embroidery and pyrography, and playing around with my apothecary setup in the middle of the night.
I’m more than a shopkeeper. I’m a community resource. As such, I welcome questions and special requests through my contact page. You can also read more about me and my path on my blog, Into the Gloaming. Professional inquiries for writing, editing, and nonprofit consulting can see my professional website for more information.
I look forward to getting to know you!
